Dental veneers are small thin facings made of composite resin or porcelain/ceramic that are bonded onto the front teeth. Veneers can greatly improve the appearance of your smile with little preparation of the teeth.

Veneers can be made directly into the mouth with composite resin or indirectly with ceramic/porcelain in conjunction with a dental lab.

Veneers are used to improve the appearance of front teeth that may be slightly crooked, discoloured, misshaped or chipped. They can also be used to close gaps between the front teeth.

Direct composite resin veneers can normally be carried out in a single visit. Indirect porcelain/ceramic veneers will need two visits since the teeth are slightly prepared first, digitally scanned and the information sent to the dental lab for veneers to be custom made to your teeth. Temporary veneers may or may not be needed depending on individual circumstances.
